Arabella absolutely loves Peppa Pig, so a Peppa Pig-themed birthday party was a no-brainer when she turned 3. I wanted to go with a slightly pastel color palette, to match the rain boots she already had. But as you might imagine, there was a LOT of pink involved.
Since the British children’s show is so popular, it wasn’t difficult to find Peppa Pig birthday party supplies and balloons—we got all of that from Party City. I also ordered a Peppa Pig cookie cutter from Etsy and a set of little toy figurines of the Pig family so that I could use the Peppa figurine for the top of the cake. The candle is from Target. (I have affiliate links at the bottom for the things I used and similar items)
Arabella already had Peppa Pig rain boots, but I ordered her a hoodie was well (from a department store in the UK). I also got her a cute party dress with sequins and a tulle skirt.
For decor, I used another pair of toddler rain boots as a vase, and we put a big stuffed Peppa inside the bounce house that we bought for the occasion. I had looked into renting one, but was surprised to see that buying a small bounce house was around the same price as renting a big one.
I baked and decorated the cake myself, and also made the cookies. But most of the food was either store bought or very low maintenance. I wanted to keep the food Peppa Pig-themed, while also having things that the kids (and adults!) in attendance would actually eat.
The Peppa Pig birthday menu:
Piggies in a blanket
Vegetables from Grandpa Pig’s garden (with spinach dip)
George’s dinosaur nuggets (roar)
Scones with blackberry jam
Pigtail pasta (macaroni and cheese made with spiral noodles)
Goldie the goldfish crackers
Muddy puddles (chocolate pudding in clear cups)
Cookies
Strawberry cake with strawberry jam filling
To be honest, it was too much food. But I have a tendency to go overboard.
We didn’t have any organized games or activities other than the bounce house and the swing set, but that was fine for this low-key party. I did pick up a super cute rainbow piñata at Party City, but we forgot to even hit it until the other kids had already left! also got some Peppa Pig coloring pages, but we didn’t need them. Pin the tail on the piggie would have been cute, but I’m not sure the girls were old enough for that. And they had plenty of fun without it. So the Peppa Pig birthday party was a definitely a success.
