Looking for a super simple non-alcoholic beverage for a party? This strawberry-orange punch is delicious and incredibly easy to put together. I made it for our Super Bowl party—I did a Miami theme for the food, so there was a lot of orange—and it was a hit.
The recipe for this strawberry-orange punch comes from a Junior League of Ft. Lauderdale cookbook from 1980 that had belonged to my grandmother. I also made an orange sticky bun recipe from the same cookbook, but I want to tweak that one a bit before I share it with you. The other Miami-themed food items I made were a bagel and cream cheese bake from Chrissy Teigan’s second cookbook that was similar to a strata, Cuban sandwiches, and Key lime pie. Of course, we also had a snack stadium (which included candied bacon, because kickoff was at 8:30 a.m. Japan time).
Oh, and while this is a non-alcoholic recipe, I think it would be delicious with a little something extra. Maybe tequila?
Strawberry-orange punch
(Serves 12, adapted slightly from Sunny Side Up)
1 16-ounce can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 16-ounce can frozen lemonade concentrate
2 10-ounce packages of frozen strawberries
1 liter of club soda or ginger ale
1-3 cups water (optional)
Dump the frozen ingredients into a punch bowl or very large pitcher and thaw. You may need to let the cans of concentrate sit out for a few minutes before the juice will come out easily.
After allowing everything to thaw for 20-30 minutes, add the soda and water and stir. Serve as-is or with ice.
