Perhaps it’s all the ballet classes I took as a child, but pink and black is my favorite color combination. So when I was lucky enough to find this super neon pink cashmere sweater on sale at a Lilly Pulitzer store in Hilton Head, I immediately paired it with a black-and-white striped top and so-dark-they’re-almost-black jeans… plus a black and pink statement necklace I picked up at the J.Crew outlet.

I love this sweater, even though I wore it to a briefing at the Pentagon and one of the other reporters said it was basically blinding him on TV. Whoops.

I didn’t really have a lot of shoe options with me on vacation, but these incredibly comfortable Nikes go with almost everything. Not quite ballet shoes, but they’ll work.
