****Update 1/14/2015: Congrats to Eric W., winner of this giveaway!****
What have you resolved to do in 2015?
I am still working on my list of resolutions, but I know I want to push myself out of my comfort zone (aka my couch) and get healthy and fit this year. One of the best ways I’ve found to keep moving past the second week of January is to have some kind of event or goal that I’m working toward.
So, if you’re like me, I have some good news: Spartan Race has given me another free entry to give away!
A Spartan Race — or any kind of obstacle race — is not really in anyone’s comfort zone, and it’s a great thing to be in training for, because you can’t just focus on one activity. Yes, you need to run, but you alo need to do some kind of strength training, so you’ll be able to hoist yourself up and over things, climb ropes, flip tires, or overcome anything else the crazy race organizers can throw at you. Luckily, they offer free workouts on their website to help you prepare, and they have different race distances available, so you choose how far you want to push yourself.
And if one race isn’t enough for you, Spartan Race now has an annual race pass that will give you entry into as many races as you can handle (plus some other benefits)… or you could make it into a vacation with the Spartan Cruise to the Bahamas.
I wasn’t able to do the Camp Pendleton Mud Run last year because of the Bell’s Palsy, and the Spartan Race I was signed up for was postponed because of severe heat… but I’m looking forward to doing both in 2015. We’re also signed up for two half marathons at Disneyland, which I’m super pumped about. I’m hoping all of those upcoming events will help keep me on track!
If you think signing up for a Spartan Race will help keep YOU on track, enter the giveaway by posting a comment below with your New Year’s resolutions. The code will be good for any open heat in the continental U.S. And if you don’t win, use code SPARTANBLOGGER for 10% off any Spartan Race!
****Giveaway has ended. Congrats to the winner, Eric W.! Ten percent off discount code still valid****

Love Spartan Races. Best out there. Looking to do the ultra beast this year.
Awesome!!!
To be happy and healthy and to log 1000 miles this year!
Great goals!
My resolution this year is to put on muscle. I’ve been thin for ages and I want to make the effort this year.
That’s a hard one — I know my brother has struggled with the same thing, but you can do it!
I haven’t made any resolutions yet! I never can seem to keep the ones I make! =(
I have the same problem! Hoping to do a better job keeping them this year. 🙂
Resolutions. Start a new career (started yesterday!!) and cook more for my wife and I!
Wow! Congrats on the new career! I am also hoping to cook at home more often — we order way too much takeout around here.
Spartan Trifecta!
Fantastic! Good luck!
my resolution this year is to finally head to vermont to see what the hype is all about…
My sole resolution is to upgrade to a new car. Who wouldn’t like that?!
