Hello y’all! I have to admit I didn’t love this outfit — it didn’t turn out quite the way I had planned — but I think the photos (from a recent event I covered for work) are the perfect way to lead in to my announcement…
I’m on my way to Afghanistan! It’s for work, obviously, and I’ll be gone for almost a month. I’m guessing I won’t have much time to blog while I’m gone, but I will have some guest posts and such for you to read in the meantime! And if you’re interested in my stories from Afghanistan, you can check out stripes.com.
I do love this monogrammed bag my mother-in-law got me for Christmas, and the olive moto skirt. I also love the Fair Isle sweater (and every Fair Isle sweater, honestly)… I just don’t love the tights and shoes with the whole thing. But, live and learn, right?
Sweater: Boden, Skirt: J.Crew (old), Bag: Madewell, Tights: Hue (old), Shoes: Target (old)
Wow! Afghanistan! I had to check out your blog just ’cause of the title. Who can resists marshmallows & margaritas? Now I want to know more about what you are doing in the Middle East. I’m also a journalist (though for a local weekly newspaper, not world events!) and also like fashion and food and all that good stuff you mentioned. Good luck on assignment!
