I have to admit I didn’t realize when I put this outfit together that it was stars + stripes. I just wanted to wear some of my new Christmas clothes.

Only when I started looking at these photos did I realize that the theme of the outfit matched my place of employment.

I wore this for lunch at Torrey Pines (highly recommended) and then to see the lights at the San Diego botanic garden (also lovely). I particularly like the jacket, because it’s made of slub jersey, so it’s comfy and stretchy but still makes an outfit a little bit more dressy.

Of course, the sequined bag also helps.
