I baked a brown-sugar buttermilk pie this weekend that I am excited to share with you (particularly because it is not orange and in a bowl, like most of the foods I’ve been posting lately — sorry!). But I want to make a bourbon-pecan sauce to go on the pie first, which requires another trip to the grocery store. In the meantime, I thought I’d share this super casual outfit I wore to brunch and to join a gym (yay!) yesterday!

I don’t tend to buy or wear plain T-shirts very often, but I bought a gray v-neck at Madewell on a whim in August, when I was out of town for longer than I had packed for. I totally love the way it fits, so I bought one in navy… and when I saw this long-sleeved, sporty T-shirt, I figured it would be the perfect substitute in cooler weather.

The top doesn’t hang quite the same as the V-necks, but it is really comfortable and cute — especially for the weekend. I tried to dress it up a tiny bit with a fun bag and earrings, but I wanted to keep the overall look on the casual side (hence, the camouflage chucks).

We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Miguel’s Cocina, (we’ve never been for lunch) and snagged a table in the bar area, so Toby could watch the game. And then, we ordered appropriately.
