Pretty much every time I go to the grocery store, I see the bananas and think, “Maybe if I get these bananas, I will eat one of those for breakfast instead of a monster cookie.” Then I buy them, and the following happens:
There are many things you can do with brown bananas. Banana-coconut muffins (which I plan to make tonight), banana bread with key lime glaze, etc. But there is also an option that doesn’t require turning on the oven: a smoothie.
I named this the “chocolate gorilla” smoothie because it has chocolate, bananas and peanut butter in it. But you can call it whatever you want.
Chocolate gorilla smoothie (makes two*)
1 banana
2 heaping tablespoons peanut butter
3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 cup milk
16 ice cubes
Put everything in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add more ice cubes if desired.
*If you just want one smoothie, you can still use a whole banana. Just halve the other ingredients.
